February 23, 2012Meadow Valley's Grant Larson was recently named by Engineering News-Record (ENR) Southwest as one the industry's "Top 20 Under 40". Grant was nominated due to his outstanding performance as a Project Manager as well as his more recent duties as Vice President of Business Development. Upon the passage of legislation permitting public agencies to utilize Alternative Project Delivery Methods (APDM), Grant has led Meadow Valley's teams in procuring Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and Design-Build contracts throughout the southwest. Under Grant's leadership, Meadow Valley's APDM contracts have grown from nearly zero to more than 30% of our annual contract volume in less than two years.

Meadow Valley's SR51 Piestewa Freeway HOV Widening project was highlighted by ENR Southwest as an example of a "Green Road". Grant Larson served as the Project Manager of this $46 million ADOT project in Phoenix, Arizona where he documented the sustainable strategies that reduced construction waste, traffic congestion, and material transportation which led to nearly $1 million in contract savings. Grant's case study on this Meadow Valley project was recently published by the Associated Schools of Construction, demostrating Meadow Valley's dedication to innovation and heavy-highway sustainability.
