Norm Watkins

Safety Director / EEO Officer

Norm oversees and promotes Safety and Affirmative Action throughout the Company. Twenty years of working for Meadow Valley and valuable field experience allow Norm an understanding of jobsite conditions and challenges. He is a certified trainer for OSHA 10 hour and 30 hour courses, Smith System Defensive Driver Training, First Aid, CPR and Flagger Certification. He has been an active member of ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers) since 1996 and has served as an officer for the Arizona Construction Section (2004-2007). He served on the Advisory Council for the Southwest Safety Congress (2002-2006). He holds the Certificate in Safety Management and Executive Program in Safety Management from ASSE. He is a Certified Safety Trained Supervisor by the nationally accredited CCHEST and is experienced in working with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EEOC, OFCCP and the Department of Labor. He has verbal and written communication skills in Spanish.
